Health Concerns
Keeping your pet healthy when they show physical signs of pain or exhibit illness can feel overwhelming. Regardless of the health concern for your pet, True.Vet is here to help diagnose, treat, and solve problems so you and your pet can enjoy life.
Allergies
Just like us, pets can have allergies too! Your pet may be trying to tell you that they have allergies with excessive itching, biting, shedding, and/or licking. Other signs of allergies in pets include difficulty breathing, coughing, and/or wheezing to name a few. If you suspect that your pet has allergies or is exhibiting strange behavior, your local True.Vet can help to diagnose and treat. Please do not let your pet suffer, schedule an appointment with us today.
Skin & Scratching
Some pets have sensitive skin and need extra help with their dermatological issues. If you have concerns about your pet’s skin including but not limited to red spots, excessive scratching, rashes, hair loss, and/or dry skin to name a few, please schedule an appointment with your local True.Vet team. We can help alleviate the discomfort once we have diagnosed the skin issue.
Ear Infections
Infected ears are extremely common in pets and typically do not heal on their own. If your pet’s ears smell, have a yellowish or brown discharge or appear red and puffy, please schedule an appointment with your local True.Vet. We can quickly diagnose and treat the potential ear infection so that they can go back to enjoying life with your family.
Limping
If your pet is limping, they are clearly experiencing pain. Limping can be the result of something minor such as a toenail or something more serious. Please do not ‘wait and see’ if your pet is limping because the sooner we are able to diagnose, the sooner we can treat and the faster your pet can recover. If your pet is limping, please schedule an appointment with your local True.Vet team.
Lumps & Bumps
Lumps and bumps affect older pets more than young. While most are harmless they are not normal and should be checked by your veterinarian to rule out cancer or other major health diseases. If your pet has a growth on their body, please schedule an appointment with your local True.Vet practice. They will examine the lump and recommend a biopsy if necessary.
Vomiting & Diarrhea
Our pets have a knack for eating things they shouldn’t. While occasional vomiting or diarrhea is common, persistent vomiting and bloody diarrhea warrants immediate care. Please contact your local True.Vet team so that we can find out what is causing these symptoms. If your pet is also showing signs of significant weight loss, a swollen belly, and/or fatigue, it’s important that a veterinarian sees them right away.
Eye Issues
Young and old pets are susceptible to eye issues including infections, corneal damage, eyelid masses, and cataracts to name a few. If your pet is experiencing excessive discharge, redness, or obvious discomfort in their eye/s, schedule an appointment with your local True.Vet team. Your veterinarian will be able to diagnose and treat your pet’s eye issue and help get them back to full health.
Coughing and Sneezing
Occasional coughing and sneezing is normal for pets. However, if their sneezing or coughing becomes excessive or uncontrollable, it’s time to see your veterinarian. Leaving these symptoms untreated can cause more suffering for your pet and sometimes lead to more expensive treatments. Persistent coughing is often attributed to kennel cough while persistent sneezing is usually an allergy. Regardless of the cause, schedule an appointment with your local True.Vet team to diagnose and treat your pet.
Senior Pet Care
As your pet ages, it becomes even more important to keep up with their twice-yearly checkups. These vital nose to tail exams help to stay ahead of your senior pet’s health status. If you notice a change in your pet’s behavior, loss of appetite, or decrease in mobility, please schedule an appointment with your local True.Vet. Your pet is part of your family and our goal is to keep them healthy and happy for as long as possible.
